Why call a Convention of States?
Simple: to bring power back to the states and the people, where it belongs. Unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. shouldn’t be allowed to make sweeping decisions that impact millions of Americans. But right now, they do. So it all boils down to one question: Who do you think should decide what’s best for you and your family? You, or the feds? We’d vote for the American people every single time.
What’s a Convention of States anyway?
Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states the power to call a Convention of States to propose amendments. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 to ratify any amendments that are proposed. Our convention would only allow the states to discuss amendments that, “limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials.”
Our application limits what can be proposed at the convention
Our legislation calls for a Convention of States “limited to proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress."
So are we making any progress?
You better believe it! Since the Project launched in 2013, we’ve been spreading like wildfire. With over 3 million supporters nationwide, we have petition signers in every single state house district across America. We’re actively working in all fifty states to pass the Convention of States Application! Check out our latest stats below.
Who’s behind this thing?
The American people. We thought you’d never ask! The Convention of States Project is first and foremost a movement of grassroots citizens who are fed up with business as usual in D.C. We’re funded by thousands of everyday patriots who have committed their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to protecting liberty for future generations.
About Us
The American Policy Center (APC), located in suburban Washington, D.C., is a privately funded, nonprofit, 501 c (4), tax-exempt grassroots action and education foundation dedicated to the promotion of free enterprise and limited government regulations over commerce and individuals.
APC believes that the free market, through its inherent system of checks and balances, including private ownership of property, is the best method yet devised for creating individual wealth, full employment, goods and services, and protecting the natural environment.
APC’s approach to establishing free market policy is rooted in the conviction that a well-informed American public is the best guarantee that U.S. policy will be guided by a keen awareness of the complexity of world politics and America’s role in it.
To these ends, the American Policy Center has developed a wide range of programs designed to enhance national awareness of crucial global and domestic developments. In particular, APC focuses on the issues of environmental policy and its effect on private property rights; national federal computer data banks and their effect on individual privacy rights; the United Nations and its effect on American national sovereignty; and federal education policy and its effect on local schools and parental rights.
To promote its positions, APC publishes The DeWeese Report and occasionally special reports. Both are available through subscription. In addition, APC principals regularly appear on radio and television talk shows, and speak publicly before local and national conferences.
The American Policy Center is one of the nation’s leading grassroots activist organizations. Its action alert system, Sledgehammer, mobilizes thousands of activists through fax and e-mail when legislative action is required. Regular legislative updates are issued bi-weekly through the APC Newswire.
As a result of its legislative activity, contributions to the American Policy Center are not tax-deductible. APC is funded primarily from small, individual contributions of its supporters and occasional grants from private foundations and businesses. APC does not accept government grants of any kind.
American Policy Center is a 501(c)(4) non-profit. Donations are NOT tax deductible.

Freedom Watch is the only political advocacy group that speaks through actions, rather than just words. We are dedicated to not only preserving freedom, but redefining its meaning, from protecting our rights to privacy, free speech, civil liberties, and freedom from foreign oil and crooked business, labor and government officials, to protecting our national sovereignty against the incompetent, terrorist state-controlled United Nations, and reestablishing the rule of law in what has become a very corrupt American legal system, where justice is only as good as your lawyer and judge—most of whom are compromised ethically and otherwise.
In the image of John Adams, our second and one of our finest presidents, without ethics, morality, and religion, there will be no lasting freedom. Using these principles, President Ronald Reagan, centuries later, took on the "evil empire" of the Soviet Union and established some freedom even in that communist state. He restored pride and vision to this country in the process.
Our greatest challenge—as we face a deep economic crisis, a government that spends our tax dollars like a drunken sailor, and an Obama-Clinton regime that was using the economic crisis as an excuse to turn our nation into a socialist Euro-style welfare state—is to remain constant to the principles of our Founding Fathers, not only Adams, but Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and others who put their lives on the line for our freedom. Freedom Watch is dedicated to doing just that, with total regard for the rights of all persons, whatever their ethnicity, race, religion, sex or otherwise. By promoting true American values at home and around the world, through actions, frequently with hardhitting legal cases and other means, Freedom Watch will be at the forefront of preserving freedom for our children and grandchildren. We need your help and immediate and strong financial support to succeed in the face of those who would effectively put us in a "straight jacket" by having government control and regulate every aspect of our lives! These people, who were in control of our government, worship at the altar of government! We at Freedom Watch worship our freedom, given to us by our creator, with certain unalterable alienable rights! Long live the United States of America and long live our freedom!
The Thomas More Law Center defends and promotes America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and moral values, including the religious freedom of Christians, time-honored family values, and the sanctity of human life. It supports a strong national defense and an independent and sovereign United States of America. The Law Center accomplishes its mission through litigation, education, and related activities. It does not charge for its services. The Law Center is supported by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, and is recognized by the IRS as a section 501(c)(3) organization.
The Law Center's purpose is to be the sword and shield for people of faith, providing legal representation without charge. We achieve this goal principally through litigation, seeking out significant cases consistent with our mission.
The Law Center also defends and promotes faith and family through media and educational efforts. Above all, the lawyers of the Thomas More Center seek to meet the highest moral and ethical standards of our Christian faith and our legal profession.
Our ministry was inspired by the recognition that the issues of the Culture War being waged across America are not being decided by our elected representatives, but by unelected judges holding life-time appointments who often rule according to their political ideology rather than existing law.
Moreover, their court decisions, largely insulated from the democratic process, have been inordinately influenced by legal advocacy groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) which seek to systematically subvert the religious and moral foundations of our nation.
The Thomas More Law Center, therefore, is the Christian response to the ACLU.

First Liberty Institute is the largest legal organization in the nation dedicated exclusively to protecting religious liberty for all Americans.
We believe that in today’s diverse, pluralistic society, the government must protect the constitutional rights of its citizens in order for us all to coexist peacefully — even when we disagree. And the true cornerstone of that belief means recognizing and defending the fundamental right of every individual – of any faith – to follow their conscience and to live according to their religious beliefs.
As our Founding Fathers declared, religious liberty is our first and most foundational right, It serves as the catalyst of all subsequent freedoms. When religious liberty is threatened or attacked, every other freedom is endangered. And once our First Freedom is lost, it will be gone forever.
That’s why we are First In the Fight when it comes to defending and protecting our country’s most cherished and profound freedom: religious liberty.
MISSION AND VISION
Originally called Liberty Legal Institute, the organization was founded in 1972 as a division of Free Market Foundation. In 1997, Kelly Shackelford formed Liberty Institute as a nonprofit law firm specializing in religious liberty cases primarily litigated in Texas.

Mission Statement
Philosophy of Education
Liberty University is a Christian academic community in the tradition of evangelical institutions of higher education. As such, Liberty continues the philosophy of education which first gave rise to the university, and which is summarized in the following propositions.
God, the infinite source of all things, has shown us truth through scripture, nature, history, and above all, in Christ.
Persons are spiritual, rational, moral, social, and physical, created in the image of God. They are, therefore, able to know and to value themselves and other persons, the universe, and God.
Education as the process of teaching and learning, involves the whole person, by developing the knowledge, values, and skills which enable each individual to change freely. Thus it occurs most effectively when both instructor and student are properly related to God and each other through Christ.
Statement of Mission and Purpose
Maintaining the vision of the founder, Dr. Jerry Falwell, Liberty University develops Christ-centered men and women with the values, knowledge, and skills essential to impact the world.
Through its residential and online programs, services, facilities, and collaborations, the University educates men and women who will make important contributions to their workplaces and communities, follow their chosen vocations as callings to glorify God, and fulfill the Great Commission.
Liberty University will:
Emphasize excellence in teaching and learning.
Foster university-level competencies in communication, critical thinking, information literacy, and mathematics in all undergraduate programs.
Ensure competency in scholarship, research, and professional communication in all graduate programs and undergraduate programs where appropriate.
Promote the synthesis of academic knowledge and a Christian worldview in order that there might be a maturing of spiritual, intellectual, social and physical value-driven behavior.
Enable students to engage in a major field of study in career-focused disciplines built on a solid foundation in the liberal arts.
Promote an understanding of the Western tradition and the diverse elements of American cultural history, especially the importance of the individual in maintaining democratic and free market processes.
Contribute to a knowledge and understanding of other cultures and of international events.
Encourage a commitment to the Christian life, one of personal integrity, sensitivity to the needs of others, social responsibility and active communication of the Christian faith, and, as it is lived out, a life that leads people to Jesus Christ as the Lord of the universe and their own personal Savior.

American Center for Law and Justice
About the American Center for Law and Justice
Founded in 1990 with the mandate to protect religious and constitutional freedoms, the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) engages legal, legislative, and cultural issues by implementing an effective strategy of advocacy, education, and litigation that includes representing clients before the Supreme Court of the United States and international tribunals around the globe.

Over the last two decades, Sekulow has appeared before the Supreme Court of the United States on numerous occasions, successfully arguing precedent-setting cases before the high Court: Protecting the free speech rights of pro-life demonstrators. Safeguarding the constitutional rights of religious groups to have equal access to public facilities. Ensuring that public school students could form and participate in religious organizations, including Bible clubs, on campus. Guaranteeing that minors could participate in the political process by protecting their free speech rights in the political setting.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the ACLJ’s work reaches across the globe with affiliated offices in Israel, Russia, France, Pakistan, South Korea, and Zimbabwe. In addition to its religious liberties work, the ACLJ also focuses on constitutional law involving the issues of national security, human life, judicial nominations, and protecting patriotic expression such as our National Motto and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Who We Are
Alliance Defending Freedom Advocates for Your Right to Freely Live out Your Faith.
We've Defended Your Freedom Since 1994
The morning Alliance Defending Freedom was launched, Dr. Bill Bright told a story about a little boy who was lost in a wheat field. The townspeople frantically searched for the boy, but they couldn’t find him. Finally, one of the searchers suggested that they all hold hands and walk together across the field. They found the boy, but sadly, not in time to save his life. One of the searchers lamented, "If we had only linked arms sooner..."
Dr. Bright compared the town’s story to the Christian community.
The gathered Christian leaders—more than 30 founders of ADF—recognized that Christians, like the town, needed to unite in order to defend religious freedom before it was too late.
And so, Alliance Defending Freedom was launched on January 31, 1994 to ensure that religious freedom did not share the same fate as the boy in the field.
Strategy
Building an Alliance for Victory
With that launch, the Christian community gained growing awareness that the threats to its freedom were multiplying. The legal system, which was built on a moral and Christian foundation, had been steadily moving against religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and marriage and family. And very few Christians were showing up in court to put up a fight.
By funding cases, training attorneys, and successfully advocating for freedom in court, Alliance Defending Freedom changed that.
Advocacy
Transforming Law & Culture
It is not enough to just win cases; we must change the culture, and the strategy of Alliance Defending Freedom ensures lasting victory.
To learn more about what we are doing, visit our key issues: religious freedom, sanctity of life, and marriage and family.
Training
Building the Alliance
Alliance Defending Freedom is transforming the legal system and influencing the culture by building a strong alliance of professionals through several world-class training programs. Whether you are an attorney, law student, pastor, college student, or supporter of our work, Alliance Defending Freedom has a program uniquely designed to equip you to make an impact.
Funding
Supporting the Mission
Religious freedom has suffered due to the high cost of litigation. Alliance Defending Freedom has provided thousands of allies with critical funding for precedent-setting cases to ensure that the defense of religious freedom is well funded.
But we can’t fund these critical cases without your support.
Your support will allow ADF to continue defending religious freedom.
We're Here to Win
When Alan Sears was approached to lead ADF, he wanted to make sure of one thing: Alliance Defending Freedom would be committed to winning. And within only a few short weeks of its launch, ADF was funding a case at the U.S. Supreme Court and captured the first victory of many for religious freedom. True to this commitment . . .
Alliance Defending Freedom is dedicated to victory.

James O’Keefe’s Bio
Project Veritas Founder and President James O’Keefe
James O’Keefe is an award-winning journalist and writer. He is the founder and President of Project Veritas, a non-profit organization, and Project Veritas Action dedicated to investigating corruption, dishonesty, waste and fraud in both public and private institutions.
James O’Keefe’s investigations have led directly to the passage of new legislation, federal and state investigations, congressional inquiries, the de-funding of taxpayer-funded groups, arrests, resignations, firings, re-trainings and disciplinary action.
O’Keefe’s series of voter fraud exposés inspired several states to reform their election laws, forced resignations in Washington, and pushed FBI and Department of Justice officials to defend themselves before federal lawmakers.
His investigation into ACORN led to the group’s collapse. He caused a Planned Parenthood Vice President to be fired, National Public Radio executives to be fired, an Enroll America director to be fired, Medicaid worker re-trainings, an investigation into Battleground Texas, and Congressional field hearings into Obamacare navigator fraud. In 2017, his investigations into the DisruptJ20 movement led to the arrests of three individuals for conspiracy to commit assault at the National Press Club during the presidential inauguration.
The Nation magazine wrote, “O’Keefe’s influence on voting rights opponents and legislators alike is particularly jarring.” Slate.com agreed, “O’Keefe has had more of an impact on the 2012 election than any other journalist.”
In 2013, O’Keefe authored New York Times bestseller, Breakthrough: Our Guerilla War to Expose Fraud and Save Democracy, the inside story of the challenges he faced bringing his powerful new form of guerilla reporting to the forefront.
In May of 2014, O’Keefe released videos at the Cannes Film Festival showing Hollywood environmentalists agreeing to take money from phony Middle Eastern oil tycoons to fund anti-fracking movies. The videos prompted a U.S. Senate investigation into the funding sources of NGOs.
During the summer of 2014, an investigation by Project Veritas transformed the discussion on national security. Dressed as Osama bin Laden, James O’Keefe crossed the Rio Grande from Mexico into the United States. In a follow-up video, Project Veritas exposed the lack of security at the northern border as an investigator dressed as an ISIS terrorist crossed Lake Erie into Cleveland. In his grilling of officials from the Department of Homeland Security, Senator John McCain referenced the investigations as proof of the failure to secure the border.
Heading into the crucial fall elections of 2014, James O’Keefe launched Project Veritas Action, which launched investigations in four key Senate battleground states to expose the hypocrisy of candidates who were saying one thing to the voters and something entirely different to their close supporters. All four Senate candidates lost on the way to the historic Republican Senate takeover.
In 2015, O’Keefe oversaw the expansion of both Project Veritas and Project Veritas Action, providing the vision and direction for projects that increased the training, professionalism, and reach of both organizations. During the expansion, both organizations released impactful investigations. Most notably, Project Veritas with investigations of the Veterans Administration, political correctness on campus, and the corruption within the racial grievance industry. Project Veritas Action reported on multiple instances of the Hillary Clinton campaign violating state and federal campaign law.
During the 2016 election cycle, both Project Veritas and Project Veritas Action released videos exposing key Democrats not only admitting that voter fraud exists, but also showing how to successfully commit it on a massive scale. One result was that a New York City Democratic election commissioner was forced out of his position by Mayor de Blasio and the New York Assembly.
O’Keefe also released videos exposing how the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton worked with consultants to organize paid protesters at Trump rallies, which sometimes erupted in violence. The investigation into Democracy Partners caused two key Democratic operatives to resign, sparked a response from the White House, and caused Donald Trump to bring up the videos in the final presidential debate. O’Keefe was ultimately credited with having a significant impact on the 2016 presidential elections for his October Surprise video series.
In 2017, O’Keefe announced to the world that he was going after the mainstream media at an inaugural event. In January 2017, his videos helped the FBI, CIA, and DC metro police arrest and convict three individuals who planned to put butyric acid into the ventilation systems of the National Press Club. His CNN videos, which quickly became the #1 trending videos in the US, exposed CNN’s over anti-Trump bias, giving them a major credibility crisis. His New York Times investigations gained national attention, forcing the Times to fire an irresponsible employee and change their social media policy.
His 2018 investigations into Twitter exposed their attempt to silence conservatives on their platform through a stealthy technique called “shadowbanning.” Twitter engineers also admitted they would hand over Trump’s personal Direct Messages to the DOJ. He also published his newest book, American Pravda: My Fight for Truth in the Era of Fake News. One-part rollicking adventure story, another part spy thriller, this story details never-before-heard details of his hidden-camera investigations from 2015 through 2017, including the 2016 presidential elections and his groundbreaking American Pravda series.
O’Keefe is a graduate of Rutgers University. He founded an independent newspaper in College called The Centurion. He is a 2014 recipient of the Young Professional Conservative Leadership “Buckley Award” awarded to “young professionals in recognition of significant achievements in advancing the conservative cause.” He is the recipient of the Robert Novak Award for Journalistic Excellence (2011), has been named “Fox News Power Player of the Week” twice, and was on the Forbes “30 Under 30” for media moguls.
